Rebecca Spitzmiller Caracci, Esq. is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Civil Circuit Mediator. She brings 40 years of international legal experience to her role as a Mediator, drawing from her work in international law firms and as Professor of Law at Roma Tre University in Rome, Italy. She earned her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Nova Southeastern (NSU) University College of Law. She coordinated the Dual-Law-Degree program between NSU and Roma Tre, which has qualified 37 dual-degree US-Italian law graduates over the last 13 years. As Founder of Retake, Italy’s most widespread volunteer civic organization, she was “knighted” by Italy’s President as Official of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic, who cited her “engaging commitment to the fight against degradation, for raising awareness … and the sense of civic pride” in Rome and throughout Italy. She has written scholarly articles and books on a range of legal topics, including tort law, antitrust, IP, international and comparative law. She is fluent in Italian.
